About

Stacy D'Aguiar's artistic journey began at an early age, and she now calls San Diego, California, her home, originally hailing from Washington, D.C. Her artistic education took shape at Virginia Tech, where she earned a BA in Graphic Design. During her time there, she ventured into various art classes, ranging from life drawing to painting and sculpture. For many years, her primary mediums were pencil and colored pencil.

After graduating in 1996, Stacy embarked on a design career, where she harnessed her drawing skills to create t-shirts, toys, costumes, logos, and corporate branding. It wasn't until 2002 that she rekindled her relationship with a paintbrush. Her artistic evolution continued as she apprenticed with artist Liz Jardine, delving into abstracts, acrylics, and diverse painting techniques. Under this mentorship, she learned to "loosen up" and prioritize conveying ideas and emotions over intricate details.

This transformation broadened her perspective, leading her to experiment with color and incorporate texture as a sculptural element into her works. Stacy's artistic canvas expanded to include not just canvas but also metal and wood, encompassing a wide range of subjects, from surrealism to abstract. Her passion lies in seamlessly integrating texture into her creations.

An important facet of Stacy's art is the infusion of Reiki energy, a universal healing technique, and Sacred Geometry symbols. This infusion elevates each creation energetically, filling the surroundings with positivity, peace, and tranquility.

Beyond her individual work, Stacy collaborates with various designers, art representatives, and galleries across the country, bringing her unique artistic vision to a broader audience.
